Tidwell Named New Veterans Service Officer
Members of the Lawrence County Board of Commissioners named a new Veterans Service Officer during a regularly-scheduled business meeting Tuesday evening.
The vote was taken under a suspension of the rules. Commissioners voted to appoint to the position William Hoyt Tidwell, II.
Commissioners said that Tidwell was knowledgeable and excelled during the interview process. They said they felt that he was the “best candidate” to fill the position, and that they expect he will excel in his new role.
